Lately, I’ve been finding myself thinking about profound thoughts in my mind during idle times. Sometimes, my mind has inquired the universe, asking questions from existential to metaphysical. The answers were not actually written in the air or were brought to my dreams. Maybe there are just some things that should just be left unexplained like how the patterns of the stars came to be, or why the sun sets at six pm. Some call it science and mystery, maybe religion.
With all these systems and connections our minds kept on wondering about, there is only one feeling that people will always have a hard time putting into words to fit into a grand definition. This is all about the soulmate connection. Many has attempted to glorify or simplify it, but its intangibility could not just be explained. You can call it mystery, religion, or science, but there is no monopoly of definition.
Browsing through Huffington Post, they defined this perennial angst into a poetic answer: “A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are.”
So how do we really know if we are with the person who is the mate to our soul? We simply don’t know because it comes with introspection. When you are with your soulmate, it will transcend all the reasons for resistance.
Your logic mind could not comprehend the attachment to this other being. For example, your logic mind knows that there are just simple routines to survive such as eating, sleeping, working, and socializing, but one day, it would not understand why you suddenly find that person who just seemed to penetrate your soul with one mere look, and you just could not imagine life without them. When you find this connection, the universe will rejoice because its course has been followed.
This is what makes soldiers go to war since time immemorial. This is why the Taj Majal was erected and towered in India. This is the reason why people move to the other side of the world. It’s because of this feeling. This soulmate connection.
How do you think people just find each other without even trying? Why do you think some fell in love and then out after some time, yet the rest thrived and even declared the paramount of ecstatic joy throughout their lives? Don’t chase your soulmate. The universe knows how you two will meet, and when it happens, it will be undeniably easy and beautiful. I’m lucky I’m with him already.
